Our History

At the age of 25, Eugen Hollaender moved from Germany to Apeldoorn. In 1931, he started his company in a small shed, producing and selling razor blades. This marked the birth of the Apeldoornse Messenfabriek .

The name was abbreviated to A-Me-Fa (Amefa) .

1945

Growth and Expansion


As demand increased, Amefa quickly grew from a small local workshop into a respected manufacturer. What began with razor blades soon expanded into a broader range of cutting tools and household essentials.
